Dianne Florimo, age 91, of Bostic, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021, at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain.
Dianne was born Wednesday, April 16, 1930, in Montgomery County, New York to the late Milton V. Barkley and Alida Smalley Barkley. Dianne moved from Amsterdam, New York to North Carolina in December of 2020. She was a graduate of the former Wilber Lynch High School and the School of Commerce. She worked for Beneficial Finance Company for thirty years. After she retired, she opened a Bridal Shop in Schenectady, New York (Formally Yours) where she was very happy for another five years. After closing her shop, she enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. She was very involved in her church, the United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vito C. Florimo, and a brother, William Barkley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Suzanne (Randy) Kissinger; cousins, nieces, nephews, Patti (Tom) Clark; Michael Barkley; Sandy (Chris) Blessing; David (Barbara) Smalley; grands, Adam Gendron, Samantha (Lucas) Eichorst; great grand, Alida Eichorst, and extended family. The family wishes to extend a special thanks, to the staff, doctors, and nurses (Wendy), of White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain.
A memorial service for Dianne will be held at a later date in New York.
