Addie Ruppe, age 83, of Forest City, died Monday, May 25, 2015 at Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born September 29, 1931 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Robert Jarvis Ruppe and Annie Keeter Ruppe.
Addie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid bowler and coached little league baseball for many years. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and retired from Watts Regulator.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin infant sons, Ronnie and Donnie Ruppe; two sisters, Ruth Hensley, Mary Ruppe; and two brothers, Arthur Ruppe and Bill Ruppe.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Grace Ruppe; son, Terry Ruppe and wife Mary; daughter, Debbie Abrams; grandchildren, Andy Ruppe and wife Mackenzie, Kelly Horton and husband Nick, Megan Metcalf; great-granddaughter, Lydia Ruppe; and numerous special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
