Alan “Flip” Scott Keeter, age 62, of Forest City, passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
Alan was born Friday, November 14, 1958 to the late Louise Hawkins Keeter. He worked as a med-tech for Golden Harvest and Union Mills Assisted Living Centers for many years. Alan was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church and was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved spending time with his family and loved each of them dearly.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Janice Downey, Diane Phillips, Cindy Bostic and a brother, Darrell Keeter.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of twenty years, Carla Keeter; sons, Justin and Leslie Keeter both of Tennessee; daughter, Jennifer Keeter of Hendersonville, NC; a brother-in-law who raised him, Russell Downey of Shiloh; three stepchildren, Jessica Hill, Angela Wood and Jerry Greene all of Rutherford County; grandchild, Bentley Keeter, six step-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Alan’s life will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Robby Snyder and Reverend Chad Sisk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
