Albino Anthony 'Nino' Baca, age 50, of Mountain Creek Road, Rutherfordton, NC, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Albino was born on May 4, 1962 in Riverside, California. He was a veteran of the US Army and worked in many facets of the construction industry. He also worked in the oil fields and had the distinction of being a professional boxer whose trainer was Ken Adams. As an ordained minister, he was the founder of Spiritual Expectations World Wide Ministries and impacted hundreds of people for Christ. He was also an author and a painter. He attended the First Baptist Church of Henrietta.
He was preceded in death by his father, Baca.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Vaughn Baca; his mother and step-father, Maria Payan Waters and Mike Waters both of El Paso, TX; one son, Armando Baca of Ruidoso, New Mexico; one daughter, Yolanda Begay, of Vicenza, Italy; two brothers, Mark Baca and Frank Baca; two sisters, Tonya Waters and Maribel Crawford. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Justice and Isabella Begay.
