Alice Hines

Alice Lee Ruppe Hines, age 90, of Ellenboro passed away Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Hospice residence in Forest City, NC. Mrs. Hines was born on July 23, 1916 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Volney Andrew Ruppe and Docia Delilah McBrayer Ruppe. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Kistler's Chapel United Methodist Church, although she regularly attended Haynes Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Willis M. Hines in 1986 after 51 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her six brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her three sons, Max Hines and his wife Bonnie of Gaffney, SC, Bill Hines and his wife Pat of Forest City, NC, and Willis Wayne Hines, Sr of Panama City, FL; and her daughter, Vaunda Griffin of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
