Alisa Epps

Alisa Epps, age 45, of Boiling Springs, NC, died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at her residence.
Alisa was born October 4, 1966 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Barnie Epps and Daphne Taylor Hampton. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1984 and of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. She was a kindergarten teacher for the Shelby Public School system and a faithful member and greeter at White Harvest Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed water skiing, playing softball, basketball and volleyball. She was known for her ability to care for people and the kindness she would show to others.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Epps.
Survivors include her son, Taylor D. Melton of the home; her mother, Daphne Taylor Hampton and husband, Dennis of Ellenboro; one brother, Dana Allen Epps of Cliffside and a host of loving friends and family members.
