Alma C. Stepp, age 86, of Ellenboro, died Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Born July 2, 1931 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Fanning Corn and Idell Hill Corn. Alma was a retired employee of the United States Postal Service. She was the widow of the late Seldon R. Stepp, also a USPS employee, who passed on July 15, 2013. They loved camping and travelling on the Blue Ridge Parkway and cooking out. Alma also enjoyed church activities, singing in the choir and was most recently a member of the Caroleen Baptist Church. She also had a passion for sewing, crochet and knitting. She is gravely missed and beloved by her family.
Survivors include one daughter, Martha S. Hodge and husband, William Bruce Hodge of Caroleen; two sons, Kenneth Earl Stepp and wife, Rebecca Farnsworth Stepp of Hendersonville and David Stepp and wife, Nelda Stepp of Cookeville, TN. She is also survived by one grandson, Travis Wayne Raxter of Washington D.C.
