Anita "Lynn" Sims, age 57, of Whitesides Road, Forest City, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Born October 24, 1960 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Marlowe and Lonie Hutchins Marlowe. Lynn worked as a CNA for many years at White Oak Manor in Rutherfordton and was a faithful member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church. She was active in the church music ministry and enjoyed southern gospel music. She was a dedicated wife, nana, sister, aunt and friend.
Those left to cherish he memory include her husband of forty years, Reverend Roger Sims; granddaughter, Machaiah Davis of the home; sister, Pam Watt of Forest City; brother, Marvin "Bucky" Marlowe and wife, Lori of Spindale and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Lynn's life will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Poe Jones, Reverend Billy Cogdell and Reverend Richard Cole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
