Ann Brooks

Ann Brooks, age 69, of Mooresboro, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023 at her residence.

Ann was born Tuesday, November 24, 1953 in Rutherford County to the late Dorothy Blackwell Spicer. She worked in textiles and plastic manufacturing most of her life. Ann invested her life in her grandchildren and her sons. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

     In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her father, James Spicer and several brothers and sisters.

     Left to cherish her memory are her sons, James Brooks (Shannon), Jessie Brooks (Sharon) and Donnie Brooks (Chasity) all of Mooresboro; brother, Jr. Spicer of Ruth and sisters, Ruthie Spicer of Mooresboro, Cathy Phillips of Mooresboro and Punnie Wilson of Rutherfordton. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jonathon Brooks (Shania), Christopher Hudson (Miranda), Joseph Hudson (Shianne), Kevin Brooks, Alisha Brooks, Trenton Brooks (Sarah) and thirteen great-grandchildren.

     A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 15^th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
