Annie Griffin

Annie Mae Griffin, age 81, of 102 Bedrock Trail, Rutherfordton, NC, died on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Hospice House.
She was born to the late Jim and Ellen Murray Brown in Greenville County, SC and was a long-time resident of Rutherford County. She worked in the Textile Mills for more than 35 years before her retirement. She was a member of Broad River Baptist Church and was known for being a hard worker and taking good care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lonas Griffin; one grandson, Stephen Mask and three brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Katie Lowdermilk and her husband Kevin of Forest City, Ruby Browning and her husband James of Forest City, Judy Prescott of Harris; one son, Willie Griffin also of Harris; a beloved sister-in-law, Medora Knight of Lincolnton, NC; five grandchildren, Robbie Miller, Matt Lowdermilk, Regina Henderson, Michael Mask and Sharon Swink; and 12 great grand-grandchildren.
