Annie "Lou" Hodge, age 81, of Forest City, NC died Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Fair Haven Home of Forest City.
Lou was born June 30, 1937 in Rutherford County to the late Thomas Lee Ramsey and Idella Wood Ramsey. She received her Associates Degree from Isothermal Community College and worked at ICC as a receptionist for many years before retirement. Lou was a former member of Westside Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly and provided child care for many of her nieces and nephews during their growing up years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years, Bobby Hodge; two brothers, Ben and Roy Ramsey and five sisters, Lena Smith, Irene Hutchins, Katherine Hutchins, Mary Beheler and Hazel Lowery.
Those left to treasure her memory include her son, Tommy Hodge and wife, Sharon of Ellenboro; sister, Lois Payne of Mooresboro; grandson, Clay Eaves of Ellenboro and great-granddaughter, Payton Eaves.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Eric Yelton officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
