Barbara Radford Humphries

Barbara Radford Humphries, age 75, of Forest City, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 at her home.

Barbara was born Monday, October 18, 1948 in Rutherford County to the late Robert Radford and Martha Dysart Radford. She worked for AGI for seventeen years and as beautician in the Cliffside Community for many years. Barbara enjoyed working outside in her yard, flower and vegetable gardening and swimming. She would sacrifice for her family and made sure that they were always taken care of. Barbara loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She was a member of Grace Chapel in Forest City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Ray Humphries: a sister, Debbie Waters and grandson, Josh Greene.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Renee Lowery of Shelby, Peyton Beheler (Eric) of Forest City and Sophia Greene of Ellenboro; sister, Patsy Melton of Hickory; grandchildren, Timothy Blake Greene, Justin Greene, Jacob Johnson (Sierra Bradley), Raygan Beheler (Cayce Hawkins) and Shaylynn Lowery; great-grandchildren, Avery Greene, Luna Johnson and Nirvana Johnson.

 A family celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at a later date. Her urn will be placed next to her late husband at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Mooresboro.
