Barbara Mode Craig

Barbara Mode Craig, age 65, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Barbara was born Monday, December 3, 1956 in Rutherford County to the late Amos Mode and Ovelia Johnson Mode.  She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1974. Barbara was a member of Gray’s Chapel Church in Polk County and enjoyed making jewelry. She also enjoyed listening to music and dancing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Craig, Sr. and a sister, Judy Peek.

Left to cherish fond memories are her sisters, Jackie Huffman of Ellenboro and Brenda Hutchens of Rutherfordton; brother, John Mode (Christy) of Danieltown; stepson, Neal Craig II (Debbie) and stepdaughter, Leighann Windbiel (Dave) all of Rutherfordton. She is also survived by her stepmother, Virginia Mode of Danieltown.

The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Robert Mauney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
