Barnie Epps

Barnie G. 'Dickie' Epps, age 66, of Cliffside, NC, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at his residence.
Barnie was born on November 7, 1944 in McDowell County, NC to the late Barnie G. Epps, Sr. and Gladys Burnette Epps. He worked as a maintenance man in the manufacturing industry most of his life and was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed fishing, water skiing and boating. He was known as a man who could fix about anything. He was a Baptist.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Lee Epps.
Survivors include one daughter, Alisa Epps and one son, Dana Epps, both of Cliffside; two sisters, Carolyn Francis and husband, Charles of Caroleen and Judy Latham and husband, Gene of Shelby; three grandchildren, Wesley Terry, Samantha Morris and Taylor Melton; one great-grandchild, Lily Terry. He is also survived by two step-children, Melissa Cooper and Tony Strickland.
