Beatrice Pace

Beatrice C. Pace, age 89, of Forest City, died Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Willow Ridge Healthcare Center.
Born May 7, 1925 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Alfred Cannon and Elizabeth Baynard Cannon. Beatrice worked for Burlington Industries-Caroleen Plant most of her life and was the oldest living lady member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her flower bed, baking cakes and pies and doing word search puzzles. Beatrice had a heart for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Robert "Runt" O. Pace and son, Robert "Buck" H. Pace; three sisters, Vestie Gentry, Bertie Pearson, Ruby Greene; three brothers, Ralph, Russell and Clarence Cannon.
Survivors include two daughters, Alice P. Ellis and husband, Mike and Patricia Ferguson all of Forest City; daughter-in-law, Ernestine Pace also of Forest City; three sisters, Helen Byers and husband, Garland, Rosie White and husband, Gene all of Caroleen and Marie Phillips of Forest City. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Tammy Bailey, Laura Ellis, Michael Murray, Ginny Clarke, Courtney Ellis, Robert Pace III, Melissa Alley and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Bob Philbeck and Reverend Paul Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
