Benjamin Watson

August 7, 1928 — April 13, 2019

Benjamin "Benny" D. Watson, 90, of Forest City, North Carolina went to be with His Lord on April 13, 2019. He was born August 7, 1928 in Rutherford County to the late Miller and Bethany Watson.
Benny was an excellent auto mechanic all his life and was known for his ability to "fix anything!" He loved to use his gift to help others. Benny was also blessed with a good sense of humor, anytime he was around there was laughter. Benny was a faithful, loving husband to his late wife Ruth, of 59 years. He was also a wonderful father to his three daughters: Dianne Abrams and husband, Bill, Lavonne Holland and husband Eddie, Jenitta Buckner and husband Randy. He is also survived by one sister Mabel Wall; four grandchildren, Angie Abrams and husband Shaun, Shannon Williams and husband Greg, Bryan Holland and wife Kathryn, and Israel Buckner; seven great-grandsons; Carter, Collin, Colton, Christian Williams and Easton, Bostic and Jackson Holland.
Benny was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where his service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019 with Reverend Bill Abrams and Reverend Matt Mills officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
