Bennette Bagwell

Bennette Bagwell, age 64, of Forest City, NC, died Friday, September 6, 2019 at his residence.

Bennette was born March 25, 1955 in Rockingham, NC to the late Louise Hildreth Baynard. He was a self-employed tile and carpet installer for many years and a master carpenter. Bennette enjoyed fishing, was an avid Washington Redskins fan and a NASCAR enthusiast.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Wayne Short and a sister, Barbara Rowe.

Those left to cherish his memory include two brothers, Roger Short and Tim Wood; four nieces, Beverly Short Lewis, Shelly Spratt Martin, Amber Tate and Melissa Hildreth; six nephews, Michael Bagwell, Matthew Short, Josh Short, Brian Short, Nathan Short, Eric Hildreth and a host of great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2019 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
