Bertha Bradley

Bertha Beard Bradley, age 63, of Spruce Street, Forest City, North Carolina, passed away
Monday, August 04, 2008 at the Hospice House in Forest City, NC. She was born September 6, 1944 in Rutherford County to the late Ralph Lee Beard and Ruth E. Lancaster Beard. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John B. Bradley, a stepdaughter, Louann Kennedy and a brother, William Beard. She was a longtime member of the Village Chapel Church. Bertha loved to cook and had worked as a cook in several local restaurants.

She is survived by one son, Jacob Bradley and wife Kim of Forest City, NC; two daughters, Lynn Newton and husband Chad of Mooresboro and Tracy Tran and husband Lou of Forest City, NC; two stepsons, Larry Bradley of Forest City, NC and Johnny Bradley and wife Patsy of Forest City, NC; three stepdaughters, Faye Bradley of Spindale, NC, Patsy Mode and husband Garrett of Spindale, NC and Joyce Bradley of Forest City, NC; two brothers, Edward Beard of Forest City, NC and Jamie Beard of Thomasville, NC; two sisters, Sylvia Putnam of Gastonia, NC and Edythe Seals of Winnemucca, NV; 8 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and 13 step grandchildren.
