Betty Wall

Betty Byers Wall, age 85, of Phillips Drive, Forest City, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 at Fairhaven Home of Forest City.

Betty was born November 11, 1934 in Rutherford County to the late William T. Byers and Essie Woods Byers. She worked at Cone Mills-Caroleen Avondale plant for many years and was a member of the Village Chapel in Forest City. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eugene Wall; son, Frankie Wall; daughter, Rachel Wall and several brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Danny Wall (Wendy) of Forest City; brother, Jay Byers of Elkhart, Indiana; four grandchildren, Scottie Estep, Shane Buff, Dana Buff, Chad Wall, and several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. The body will lie in state from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
