Betty A. Henson of Rutherfordton went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was a daughter of the late James "Jim" Adams and Evelyn Hamrick Adams. She was a lifetime member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. She received her Associates of Applied Sciences degree from Isothermal Community College and was employed at Doncaster/Tanner. Later she worked as an administrative assistant for DaVita Dialysis. Betty was a giver, a nurturer and a servant. She would always be looking for ways to help others and epitomized a "Proverbs Thirty-One Lady." She loved her Lord, her Family and her Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Carl Morgan.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-one years, Morris Junior Henson; God daughter, Deb Owens of Cape Hatteras; a special niece and nephew, Carsyn and Ty Kilgo of Rutherfordton; three sisters, Marlene Gold and husband, Sam of Earl, NC, Edna Martin and husband, Billy of Cowpens, SC and Anita Morgan also of Earl. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and the "Team Betty" girls.
Funeral services will be conducted at five o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Moneyham, Bro. Tim Hodge and Bro. James Henson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
