Betty Whisnant

Betty Sue Whisnant, 65, of Crawley Road, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Rutherford Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Whisnant was born February 16, 1942 in Rutherford County to the late Samuel McIntyre and Geneva Adair McIntyre.
She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County she and Bobby Whisnant were married in 1959. She was long-time member of the Harriett Memorial Freewill Baptist Church. She had worked as a seamstress for Absorba. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, and collecting angels and baby dolls.

She is survived by her husband Bobby of the home; a son, Michael Whisnant and his wife Linda of Mooresboro, NC; and daughter, Elizabeth Hames and her husband Donald of Mooresboro, NC; four sisters, Frieda Dyer of Forest City, Julie Norman of Earl, NC, Judy Weathers of Forest City, NC, and Martha Stewart of Bostic, NC; three brothers, Bobby McIntyre of Shreveport, LA, Jerry McIntyre of Forest City, NC, and Joey McIntyre of Forest City, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
