Bill Martin

Bill 'Chicken Dib' Martin, age 66, of 214 California Street, Spindale, died Wednesday, June 24 at Rutherford Hospital.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Robert Howard Martin and Margaret Scism Martin. He worked for Midway Trim Shop for most of his life as a Trim Man and enjoyed playing golf. He was a Baptist.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Robbie Martin and his brother, Ronnie Martin.
Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda Smith and her husband Wayne of Forest City; one son, Pastor Brian 'Tank' Martin of Rock Hill, SC; four brothers, Bobby Martin of Rutherfordton, Johnny Martin and his wife, Cathy of Green Creek, David Martin of Hickory and Marvin Martin of Forest City; one sister, Linda Harris of Caroleen; his daughter in-law, Daisy Laws of Bostic; seven grandchildren, Keeley Smith, Haley Smith, Daniel Martin USMC, Charlie Martin, Kasey Martin, Robbie Martin and Jacob Martin.
