Bill Suttle

July 17, 1946 — December 1, 2018

Bill Suttle, age 72, of Rutherfordton, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at his residence.
Bill was born July 17, 1946 in Rutherford County to the late William Crawford Suttle, Sr. and Martha Wallace Suttle. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. Bill worked as an Express Truck Driver and enjoyed hauling cars, which included his favorite pastime of buying and selling vehicles. He loved his family and friends dearly and was known for his generous heart toward others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda McEntyre and brother, Don Weaks.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of thirty-two years Patricia Suttle; daughter, Vicki Suttle Childers of Ellenboro; two sons, Robby Suttle and wife, Hayley of Rutherfordton and Brannon Suttle and wife, Rachel of Gilkey; eleven grandchildren, Preston Childers, Victoria Childers, D.J. Childers, Blake Childers, Hayden McBrayer, Kaitlyn Whisnant, Madison Suttle, Nicholas Suttle, Kaylee Suttle, Judah Suttle, Maisy Suttle and a great-grandchild, Nova Belle Childers.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at The Barn (590 U.S. Highway 74, Business, Bostic, NC 28018) with Reverend Sam Henderson and Reverend Andy Evans officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
