Billy Blanton

Billy Joe Dean Blanton, age 57, of Mooresboro, died Monday, May 29, 2017.
Born August 18, 1959 in Rutherford County, he was as son to the late Roy Eugene Blanton and Maudie Wishon Blanton. He was a carpenter and roofer and worked as a lead man in the metal fabrication industry. He was known as a hard worker and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Billy Joe Dean loved his family and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Ronald Blanton.
Survivors include three daughters, Keela Blanton and Candi Blanton both of Forest City and Kimberly Roberson of Clearwater, FL; two sons, Billy Joe Dean Blanton, Jr. of Florida and Billy Joe Dean Blanton, Jr. "B.J" of Forest City; three sisters, Brenda Self (Kenneth) of Mooresboro, Barbara Bullman (David) of Mooresboro and Ruth Blanton Ramirez (Jose) of Spindale; one brother, Roy Eugene Blanton, Jr. of Loris, SC; fifteen grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Carl Ramsey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
