Billy Jenkins

Billy Jenkins, age 65, of Forest City, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at his residence.
Born December 30, 1949 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Roy Jenkins and Florence Bradley Jenkins. Bill worked for J.C. Cowan for thirty-two years and for Watts Regulators for several years before retirement. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and golfing.
Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Lynn Jenkins; daughter, Jennifer Thorp and fiancé, Matthew Whitfield of Shelby; two sisters, Debbie Wright and husband, Gary of Cherryville and Sherry Blankenship and husband, Hershel of Bostic; brother, Johnny Jenkins and wife, Phyllis of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Trinity and Trevor Thorp.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Owen Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
