Blanch Vernell Gosey, age 86, of Henrietta, died Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Holly Springs Rest Home.
Born June 25, 1929 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Claude Lowery and Gracie McGinnis Lowery and a widow of the late Johnny Glen Gosey, Sr.
She worked for Reeves Brothers Mills most of her life and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta. She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Glen Gosey and brother, Samuel Lowery.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Glover of Henrietta; three grandchildren, Steven Keeter and wife, Haley also of Henrietta, Chris Keeter and wife, Ronna of Statesville, NC, Sabrina Nicole Camp and husband, Scott of Macon, Georgia; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Keeter, Morgan Keeter, Ansley Camp and sister-in-law, Flora Lowery of Overland Park, Kansas. She is also survived by one niece, Teresa Young of Myrtle Beach and nephew, Carl Lowery of Overland Park and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at three o'clock on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Henrietta with Reverend Bob Philbeck and Reverend John Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
