Bobby Melton

Bobby Ray Melton, age 71, of Bostic, NC, died Thursday, September 1, 2010 at his residence.
Bobby was born on December 8, 1938 in Rutherford County, NC to the late George Myron Melton and Viola Ledford Melton. He was a life-time member of Corinth Baptist Church and worked as a loom fixer for Stonecutter Mills for over 44 years. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World and enjoyed working on lawn mower engines and gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Travis Don Melton and a sister, Betty Brooks.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Willie Faye Melton; two sons, Phillip Melton of Forest City and Gerald Melton of Ellenboro; one daughter, Dianna Melton and husband, Tony, of Forest City; two brothers, Kenneth Melton and wife, Frances, of Ellenboro and Ronnie Melton and wife, Becky, of Clearwater, FL; two sisters, Joyce Lowery and husband, Joe, of Henrietta and Cindy Propst and husband, David, of Ellenboro. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
