Bobby D. Bright

Bobby D. Bright, age 53, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his residence.  Bobby was born Monday, February 19, 1968 in Rutherford County to the Anne Bright who resides in Rutherfordton and the late Dean Bright.  He was a graduate of R-S Central High School, class of 1986. He worked for the Rutherfordton Fire Department and Reeves Brothers for many years. He most recently served on the Rutherford County Traffic Control. Bobby was a member of Spencer Baptist Church and was an avid Golfer. He enjoyed watching old tv shows such as The Andy Griffith Show, Gomer Pyle, Matlock and In the Heat of the Night. Bobby was known as a kindhearted man who loved others and never treated anyone harshly.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bunt and Peggy Hill and Ive and Lishey Bright.

Besides his mother, those left to cherish his memory include two uncles, Danny Hill (Lynn) of Forest City and Brent Hill (Karen) of Green Hill. He is also survived by several cousins.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Rutherfordton.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
