Boyce Upton

Boyce Upton, age 70, of Bostic, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Boyce was born March 6, 1950 in Rutherford County to the late William Upton and Virgie Toney Upton. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1969 and attended Appalachian State University. Boyce worked for Burlington Industries for several years and most recently was a maintenance technician at Sunshine Elementary School. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Duke fan. He was known as a “Jack of all Trades.”

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Brenda Upton of Forest City and brother, Blaine Upton (Myra) of Forest City. He is also survived by two nieces, Amelia and Maggie Upton.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Floyd’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Terry White.
