Brenda Teaster

Brenda Teaster, age 66, of Holly Lane, Forest City, died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born May 31, 1949 in Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Teaster and Sarah Francis Teaster Ledbetter who resides in Caroleen. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1967 and a member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church. Brenda worked as a CNA for Rutherford Regional Medical Center for several years. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Ashe; brother, Kenneth Teaster and step-father, Roy Ledbetter.
Besides her mother, she is survived by one son, Dwight Anderson Martin III and wife, Lisa of Topeka, Kansas; two step-sisters, Janice Faucett and Donna Larch; step-brother, Gerry Ledbetter; sister-in-law, Beth Teaster of Mooresboro; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
A graveside service will be conducted at two o'clock on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Billy Poe Jones officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. At other times they will be gathered at 260 Goodes Grove Church Road, Mooresboro.
