Bruce Steppe

Bruce Steppe, age 65, of the Ruth Community, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at his residence.

Bruce was born Monday, March 5, 1956 in Rutherford County to the late Bill Steppe and Maxine Canencia Steppe. He was a graduate of Polk Central High School, class of 1974 and a truck driver for USF Holland in Greenville, SC for twenty-two years. Bruce was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved going on camping trips. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Rutherfordton.

Left to cherish fond memories are his loving wife of forty-two years, Teresa Steppe; daughter, Kristina Steppe Smith (Thomas) of Forest City; son, Billy Steppe (Hannah) of Rutherfordton and a sister, Malia Steppe Crook (Tom) of Hendersonville, NC. He is also survived by four grandchildren, William Smith, Christopher Smith, Katerina Steppe, Wilhelmina Steppe.

The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jay Joslin officiating. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
