Carl Greene

Carl R. Greene, Sr., 71, of Waynesville, NC, died Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Rutherford Hospital.
Born in Haywood County, NC, he was a son of the late Frank and Elzie Wyatt Greene. He worked as a truck driver for Lowes and retired after 17 years of service. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, gardening and the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Lena Jo Conner of Sylva, NC; two sons, Gary M. Greene and Carl Greene, Jr. both of Forest City; one daughter, Sharon G. Ferguson and her husband Newton of Rutherfordton; three sisters Janie Ledford of Bostic, Evelyn Inman and Alice Stevens both of Waynesville; one brother, Alvin Greene of Waynesville,NC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
