Carol Robbins Leverett, age 72, of Rutherfordton, died on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born December 27, 1943 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Belt Robbins and Rena Splawn Robbins. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1962. Carol worked at Stonecutter Mills for forty years until retirement and also worked as a nurse's aide and cook at Autumn Care for several years. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed doing word search word books. Carol was an outgoing person who loved others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee Leverett, Jr.; sister, Ruby Robbins; brother, Barney S. Robbins and sister-in-law, Frances Robbins.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Robert Leverett; one daughter, Kim Mode and husband, Rodney of Rutherfordton; sister, Jeanette Robbins also of Rutherfordton; three grandchildren, Tony Belue, Jennifer Fowler and Wes Ray Leverett; three great-grandchildren, Kadience Brook, Ethan Fowler and Max Ryan Belue.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
