Carol Morrison

Carol Lowery Morrison, age 63, of Shelby, NC, died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at her residence.
Born March 21, 1953 in McDowell County, she was a daughter to the late James Francis Lowery and Charlotte Laura Buchanan Lowery. Carol was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1971 and of Cleveland Community College, class of 1988. She was a homemaker and worked in retail sales for many years and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Earl. She enjoyed many types of craftwork, which included sewing, painting and quilting.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-three years, Marvin E. Morrison; three sons, Steve Ray Greene and wife, Kathy and Jeffrey Francis Greene and wife, Leslie all of Bostic and Brian Morrison and wife, Sharon of Shelby; one sister, Jane Jenkins of Mooresboro and brother, James Francis Lowery, Jr. and wife Janet of Harris. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Nicole Walker, Alexis Haney, Tyler Greene, Steven Greene, Jr., Taylor "Bug" Greene, Tanner Greene and Addie Greene; one great-grandchild, Harper Jackson and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Russ Bradley officiating. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
