Carol Padgett

Carol Jane Clark Padgett, age 75, of Rutherfordton, passed away, Monday, May 21, 2018 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Born April 6, 1943 in Greenville County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Cecil Clark and Ethel Lena West Clark. Carol was a member of Spindale Church of the Brethren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Clark.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 57 years, Joseph Padgett, Sr.; two daughters, Mignone and Dana; two sons, Mark and Kelly; one brother, John Clark; and former sister-in-law, Brenda Rhinehart. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Spindale Church of the Brethren with Reverend Russell Payne officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
