Carolyn Butler

Carolyn Butler, age 70, of Chase High Road, Forest City, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born November 18, 1946 in Rutherford County, she is a daughter to Frances Miller Grant who resides in Rutherfordton and the late Earl Grant. Carolyn was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1964 and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed flower gardening and water painting.
In addition to her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her husband of almost fifty years, Daniel E. Butler; son, Jason D. Butler and wife, Shannon of Forest City; a lifetime special friend, Gloria Bryant of Mooresboro and great-aunt, Linda Carver of Forest City.
The funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
