Carolyn McCraw Arrowood, age 79, of Cliffside, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.  Carolyn was born Thursday, August 20, 1942 in Rutherford County to the late Thomas Pate McCraw and Ethel Short McCraw. She was a loving homemaker and caretaker and an active church member of Harris First Baptist Church. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, baking and helping others, but the love she had for her family surpassed all. She was a dedicated Christian and shared her faith and love for the Lord with many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Leonard Arrowood; two sisters, Pearlie Whisnant, Eva Arrowood; granddaughter, Bryce Arrowood; four brothers, Johnny McCraw, Skip McCraw, Dean McCraw and Claude McCraw.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Vickie Arrowood Smith (Larry) of Ocean Isle, NC; sons, Ralph Leonard Arrowood, Jr. of Cliffside, Larry Dean Arrowood (April Barnes) of Cliffside and Jeffery Dwayne Arrowood (Tammy) of Forest City; eight grandchildren, Josh Arrowood (Megan), Tyler Smith (Emily), Seth Arrowood (Cayla), Dylan Arrowood, Daryn Arrowood, Carlee Arrowood, Lona Arrowood, Addison Arrowood; seven great-grandchildren, Maddox Arrowood, Sawyer Smith, Eli Smith, Huck Arrowood, Brody Arrowood, Finn Arrowood and Whit Arrowood.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Harris First Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend George Whitmire officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.

Memorial donations are requested to Harris First Baptist Church, PO Box 52, Harris, NC 28074.
