Carolyn Ruppe Tessnear

Carolyn Ruppe Tessnear, age 81, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in Bostic.

Carolyn was born Thursday, July 31, 1941 in Rutherford County to the late Henry Ruppe and Pearl Melton Ruppe. She was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family. Carolyn worked as a seamstress for Deb’s Sewing for several years and was a longtime member of Victory Baptist Church in Spindale.  She enjoyed gospel singing and was a member of the Melatones Singing Group.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin and Ronnie Ruppe.

Those left to cherish fond memories are her sisters, Myrle Mills of the Chase Community and Becky Bradley (Claude) of Bostic and a brother, Reverend Jerry Ruppe (Freida) of Bostic. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 2, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend John Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
