Catherine "Kitty" Hooper

Catherine “Kitty” Hooper, age 80, of Forest City, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at her residence.

Kitty was born June 30, 1940 in Lockport, NY to the late Albert Stover and Esther Shartz Stover. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher. Kitty enjoyed crafts, was an angel enthusiast and loved animals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Jerry Hooper; two daughters, Lorie and Kathy Hooper; sisters, Alice Stover, Linda Stover, Marion Eberle, Florence Landry and brothers, Carl, Walt, Richard and Robert Stover.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Irene Washburn of Honeoye, NY; her closest niece, Janet Mortensen also of Honeoye; special friends, James and Elizabeth Schmitt of Forest City; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Terry Padgett and Reverend Neil Murray officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
