Cecil Lovelace

Cecil Lovelace, age 69, of Harris-Henrietta Road, Forest City, NC, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Cecil was born February 3, 1944 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Clifford Thurber Lovelace and Gazzie Lee Lovelace. He was a veteran of the US Army and served the Lord as a Pastor for over forty years. He pastored Goode's Creek Baptist Church for twenty-one years before his retirement. He loved music and enjoyed the guitar. Cecil will always be known as a faithful servant of the Lord, one who loved his family and a friend to all.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-nine years, Edna Hancock Lovelace and four brothers, E.N. Lovelace, Mal Lovelace, Wilbur Lovelace and Everette Lovelace.
Survivors include an "adopted" daughter, Sarah Koone and husband, Brian of Forest City; two sisters, Dorothy Norville of Spindale and Marjorie Street of Ellenboro; one brother, Clarence Lovelace of Forest City; one granddaughter, Maria Koone and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Goode's Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Wayne Toney and Reverend Marvin Green officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
