Charles "Johnny" Adams, age 71, of the Six Points Community formerly of Laurens, SC passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at his residence.
Born March 17, 1946 in Laurens County, SC, he was a son of the late Conway Madison Adams and Faye Broome Thomas. Johnny was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Johnny's Small Engine Repair for many years before retirement. Johnny was a huge sports fan and enjoyed coaching little league baseball in Cliffside and was an avid Atlanta Braves, Duke and South Carolina Gamecock Basketball fan. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Cain Adams and a sister, Susan Adams.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife and companion, Sara Toney; two sisters, Jean Adams Bible and husband, Harry of Laurens and Alice Adams Mahon of Hickory Tavern, SC; one brother, Gordon Ray Adams and wife, Wanda of Gray Court, SC; three daughters, Linda Smith of Simpsonville, SC, Sharon Seacrest and husband, Chad of Henrietta and Tina Brendle and husband, John of Bryson City, NC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
