Charles “Bo” Dysart, age 80, of Forest City, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
Charles was born Monday, July 13, 1942 in Rutherford County to the late Charles Dysart, Sr. and Georgia Moorehead Dysart. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1960. Charles was a veteran of the U.S Army and served during the Vietnam War. He also served in the National Guard for several years. Charles worked for AGI for over forty-two years and was the owner and operator of Dysart Wolf Kennel for forty-nine years. He was a past member of Caroleen United Methodist Church and was presently attending Grace Baptist Church. Charles enjoyed hiking, watching Washington Redskins football, collecting guns and knives and storytelling. Charles loved taking care of his dogs. He was a dedicated father, grandfather and friend. Charles had a heart of compassion for others in need.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Shannon Dysart; two sons, Shane Dysart and Ricky Dysart all of Forest City; grandchildren, Arionna Liberati, Amber Dysart, Skyler Dysart and a special grandson, Dylan Baynard.
The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 25th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Lanny J. Funchess officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Military honors will be accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
