Charlotte Cannon

Charlotte Cannon, age 75, of Henrietta, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills while being surrounded by her loving family.

Charlotte was born September 11, 1944 in Erwin, Tennessee to the late Jack Harris and Louise Masters Harris. She worked at Cone Mills-Henrietta Plant for many years and was a past member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ellenboro. Her life’s passion was her family. She loved every moment she spent caring for them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Cannon; two brothers, Hubert and Richard Harris and a sister, Nancy Dover.

Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Jackie Ayers Kelly (Michael) of Marion, Penny Ayers Webb (Jerry) of Forest City and Barbara Ayers Shytle (Craig) of Henrietta; son, Bobby Ayers (Chrisi Curry) of Henrietta and a sister, Donna Morefield (Richard) of Erwin, TN. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jennifer Hathaway (Josh), Victor Webb, Jr. (Erica), Zachary Hensley, Ryan Shytle, Heather Shytle and Ethan Webb; three step-grandchildren, Cory, Kari and Tyler Kelly; six great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2020 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Donald Dover officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
