Charlotte Lowery

Charlotte Laura Buchanan Lowery, age 81, of Harris, NC, died Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Hospice & Palliative Care of Cleveland County.
A native of Mitchell County, NC she was a daughter of the late Floyd Joseph and Darell Hughes Buchanan. She retired from Hoechst Celanese after almost 20 years of service and was a member of Harris Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James Francis Lowery, Sr.
Survivors include one son, James Lowery, Jr. and his wife Janet of Harris; two daughters, Jane Jenkins and her husband Paul of Mooresboro, NC and Carol Morrison and her husband Marvin of Shelby, NC; three brothers, Emory Buchanan of Florida, Floyd Buchanan and Denver Buchanan both of Forest City; two sisters, Nell Toney of Bostic and Shirley Buchanan of Forest City. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and her beloved pet, Gidget.
