Christopher Smith

Christopher Scott Smith, age 19, of Rutherfordton, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. Christopher was born on May 10, 1988 in Rutherfordton, NC to Ted Ray Smith and Karen Grigg Holland. He was raised in Rutherford County graduating from Chase High School in 2006 where he played baseball. He was presently attending Isothermal Community College. Christopher loved playing baseball, he also enjoyed fishing. He loved his family and his many friends.

He is survived by his mother, Karen Grigg of Rutherfordton; his father Ted Smith and his wife Kim of Forest City; a brother, Daniel Hoyle of Rutherfordton; three sisters, Christy Smith of Rutherfordton, Ashley Tipton of Forest City, and Kristy Tipton of Forest City;
grandparents, Dazle Holland of Spindale, and Gail Thomas of Forest City; aunts, Mammy Whitner, Rutherfordton, Gloria Mosier of Shelby, Lori Piercy of Mooresboro, and Angie Stanley of Statesville, NC; four uncles, Randy Whitner of Rutherfordton, Steven Smith of Fallston, NC, Chad Smith of Ellenboro, and Brad Smith of Ellenboro. He is also survived by several cousins, a host of friends, and his girlfriend, Ashton Caldwell.
