C.L. Peterson

Reverend C.L. 'Pete' Peterson, age 82, of Forest City, NC, died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Hospice House.
Pete was born May 30, 1929 in Mitchell County, NC to the late Charlie L. Peterson and Julia Edwards Peterson. He was a retired Church of God Minister whose ministry spanned over 50 years. He also worked for Bost Bakery in Shelby for 18 years, Western Auto in Forest City for 12 years and Sara Lee for 10 years. He was a member of State Street Church of God in Marion. He was a mechanic, enjoyed woodworking and loved music, along with playing the guitar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lucy Peterson; one daughter, Deborah Jennings and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Raulerson Peterson; two daughters, Brenda Hunsucker and husband, Ken of Cherryville, NC and Rita Hester and husband, Larry of Pelham, AL; one son, Rev. Danny Peterson and wife, Tina of King, NC; four step-daughters, Elaine Duncan and husband, Norris of Gallatin, TN, Pat McNeal and husband, Curtis of Glen St. Mary, FL, Sandy Lauramore and husband, J.C. of Macclenny, FL, Angel Radford and husband, Brian of Rutherfordton, NC and one step-son, Andy Raulerson and wife, Kathy of Hiram, GA.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren, five great grandchildren and sixteen step-great grandchildren.
