Clara Randall Bridges, age 82, of Mooresboro, died Friday, August 22, 2008 at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home.
A native of Rutherford County she was a daughter to the late William Crawford Randall and Alma Lovelace Randall. She worked as a winder for Ester Mills in Shelby, NC for 20 years before retiring. She was also a life-time member of Race Path Baptist Church and loved gardening and enjoyed cooking for her family. She especially loved planting and raising flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charlie Glenn Bridges; four brothers, Baxter Randall, Bobby Joe Randall, Hubert Randall and Miles Randall; two sisters, Verde Lee Randall and Louise Helton.
Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Dale Scruggs and her husband, Hollis of Forest City; one brother, Frank Randall of Mooresboro; two grandchildren, Robert Scruggs of Cliffside, and Reba Mim Hester and her husband, Sammy, of Mooresboro; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Hester and Trey Hester. She is also survived by a great niece, Amanda Irvin, to whom Clara was a special caregiver and a number of nieces and nephews.
