Clara Rumfelt

Clara Waters Rumfelt, age 95, of Forest City, NC, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Hospice House.
Clara was born January 20, 1916 in Rutherford County, NC to the late William Waters and Katherine Green Waters. She worked at the Florence Mill for 35 years before her retirement and was a Baptist. She enjoyed reading, cleaning the church, watching golf and cooking. She was known for her ability to cook delicious pies and banana pudding. She also loved helping others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Robert Harold Rumfelt and by five brothers and seven sisters.
Survivors include three loving daughters, Barbara R. Smith and husband, Don of Shiloh Community, Patsy R. Wilson and husband, Glenn H. of Morganton, NC and Diane R. Earley of Charlotte. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Randy Smith, Glenn H. Wilson, Jr., Patrick K. Earley and Elizabeth L. Wilson; eight great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
