Clarence Ray

Clarence "Wormy" Ray, Jr, age 57, of Spindale, died Monday, September 15, 2014 due to an auto accident.
Born April 6, 1957 in Mecklenburg County, he was a son of the late Clarence G. Ray, Sr. and Barbara Ann Morrison Ray. He was a contractor for AT & T for over thirty-five years and recently worked for ANSCO of Spartanburg. Clarence was a Baptist and enjoyed working; was an avid NASCAR fan and also enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Ray and sister, Barbara Elaine Tedder.
Survivors include two daughters, Anita Ray of Spindale and Kasie Bremer and husband, David of Thomasville, NC; son, Eric Ray and wife, Katrina of Gastonia; three granddaughters, Ashley Ray, Temperance Ray, Kylee Bremer and grandson, Kaden Bremer. He is also survived by one sister, Katie Cooper; seven brothers, Ned Blackwood, Robert "Rooster" Ray, Garland "Spider" Ray, Ricky McDonald, David McDonald, Dale Ray and Gene Ray.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jerry Ruppe officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
