Colleen Mode

Colleen Marie Mode, age 67, of 187 Dogwood Lane, Forest City, NC passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the Rutherford Hospital. She was born January 31, 1941 in Gaston County to the late Hoover Grant and Bertha Roberson Grant. Colleen was a homemaker who loved to cook. She was a loving mother and grandmother who saw the best in others. She was a long-time member of the First Assembly of God in Forest City where she played the organ.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ray Mode of the home; two daughters, Arlene Taylor of Ellenboro, NC and Sheila Bradley and husband Dennis of Caroleen, NC; one son, Ronnie Mode and wife Cindy of Bostic; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Darlene Blake.
